Events and Services

Whether it’s a celebration, networking opportunity, or workshop, our aim is to include everyone and provide a space for growth and inspiration.
We host key events annually that reflect our commitment to community cohesion and cultural diversity. Our Refugee Week celebrations attract up to 200 participants, while our Eid and Christmas parties draw 40-60 attendees.
These events are more than just gatherings; they celebrate our diversity and strengthen our bonds.
Our impact extends beyond events, engaging hundreds from various backgrounds across Lancashire. Our educational initiatives, like the PSHE curriculum packs developed by PEP, have national reach through the Violence Reduction Unit. During Covid-19, we provided regular meals to 96 elderly individuals and free meals for children during half term, highlighting our commitment to those in need.
PEP’s services are informed by community consultation, focus groups, and research conducted by our team. This collaborative approach allows us to create bespoke services such as our refugee drop-in, tutorial ESOL classes, and driving theory support for non-English speakers. Our unique projects, including Taste of Rossendale and Knowing You, Knowing Me, as well as women empowerment initiatives, are designed to swiftly bridge gaps in existing services and empower our communities.
Our team also engages with regional initiatives, participating in events hosted by organisations like the DWP and local councils. We tackle important issues related to education, employment, and health, drawing hundreds from the GEM community into meaningful discussions.
At PEP, our unwavering dedication to community-led initiatives is evident in every project we undertake. Join us in making a positive impact and creating a more connected and vibrant community.
