The Knives Take Lives Project is funded by the Home Office and Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner. The programme involves Lancashire schools, and is intended to alert young people of school-age to the major problem of knife crime. We started our involvement with a competition in which schools were challenged to make an entertaining presentation that could be used to inform and educate young people to the danger of carrying knives.
An extremely successful outcome to the competition impressed the Crime Commissioner and his team. Watch a film of the prize-winners at Corpus Christi Catholic High School, Fulwood on our YouTube Channel above. As a result of this we have been awarded further funding for the creation of a national school toolkit on the subject. This was launched in 2021 and is being rolled out nationally, subject to Covid restrictions.
